33% women reservation is specifically exempted for Plant Assistant posts (P01, P02), hence posts are open only for male candidates.
Horizontal reservation for PwD (minimum 40% benchmark disability) and Ex‑servicemen as per MP Government rules.Eligibility: Educational QualificationPlant Assistant – Mechanical (P01)
Educational qualification: Passed High School (10th) from a Board recognised by State Government or Government of India. Regular ITI trade certificate (SCVT/NCVT) in one of the trades: Machinist / Fitter / Welder / HP Welder / Mechanic Pump / Mechanic Vehicle / Motor Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic from an institution recognised by MP Govt / Government of India.
Minimum marks in ITI (aggregate or equivalent CGPA): UR and MP domicile OBC (non‑creamy layer): 65%. Regular employees of successor companies of erstwhile MP State Electricity Board: 60%. MP domicile SC/ST/EWS/PwD candidates: 55%. EWS candidates get 10% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks as per MP General Administration Department memo.Plant Assistant – Electrical (P02)
Educational qualification: Passed High School (10th) from recognised Board. Regular ITI trade certificate (SCVT/NCVT) in Electrician / Wireman / Electronics / Instrumentation trade from recognised institute. OR 2‑year National Trade Certificate in Electrical trade from Industrial Training Institutes notified as Centre of Excellence at Namdangar, Shahdol, Ratlam, Rampura etc., treated equivalent to ITI (Electrical).
Minimum marks criteria are identical to P01 (65% UR & OBC (NCL) of MP, 60% for existing regular employees of successor companies, 55% for MP domicile SC/ST/EWS/PwD).Age Limit (as on 01.01.2025)Minimum age: 18 years. Maximum age: 40 years.
Upper age relaxations (maximum age after all relaxations cannot exceed 45 years): SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD/Ex‑servicemen/MP Government corporations/boards/autonomous bodies/ Nagar Sainik etc. (MP domicile only): 5 years. Medallists in national‑level sports and beneficiaries of inter‑caste marriage incentive scheme: 5 years. Ex‑servicemen of MP: relaxation equal to completed defence service, subject to resultant age not exceeding maximum age by more than 3 years.
Relaxation benefits, including reservation, apply only to permanent residents (domiciles) of Madhya Pradesh with valid domicile certificate.Application FeeUR candidates: ₹1200 (non‑refundable).
MP domicile SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwD/EWS: ₹600 (non‑refundable).
Bank transaction charges, if any, are to be borne by the candidate. Fee is payable only through online mode – net banking / debit card / credit card / UPI.Selection Process and Exam PatternMode of selection: Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by document verification.
CBT details: Total 100 objective‑type questions, each carrying 1 mark; no negative marking. 75 questions from the relevant ITI trade/technical subject. 25 questions from General Knowledge & Awareness, Reasoning/Logical Ability etc. Question paper will be bilingual: Hindi and English.
Qualifying marks (cut‑off in CBT): UR: minimum 40%. SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwD: minimum 30%. Exam centres: Cities within Madhya Pradesh only; allotted based on choices filled in online form and availability. Company’s decision on centre allocation is final.Merit List and Tie-BreakingCategory‑wise merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks (or normalised marks, if exam is in multiple shifts) obtained in CBT.
Tie‑breaking sequence where two or more candidates secure equal marks:Candidate older in age gets higher merit.If age is same, higher marks in technical subject portion (75 questions) in CBT.If still tied, higher marks in minimum prescribed educational qualification (ITI).If still tied, higher marks in Class 10th.Training, Probation and Pay ScaleStipendiary training: Duration: 9 months for both P01 and P02. During training and subsequent probation, stipend is a percentage of the minimum of the applicable pay scale as per MP GAD instructions: 70% in first year, 80% in second year, 90% in third year (wherever applicable for training/probation).
Probation period: After successful completion of training, candidates are appointed on probation in regular cadre for 3 years; training period will form part of probation. Performance is reviewed during probation; probation can be extended by 1 year if performance is unsatisfactory and services may be terminated if performance remains unsatisfactory.
Pay scale (after successful training and probation): Post: Plant Assistant – Mechanical/Electrical (P01/P02). Pay Matrix Level: 06. Scale: ₹25,300 – 80,500; basic pay at entry: ₹25,300 plus other allowances as per company rules. Contributory pension scheme: applicable after appointment on the post following successful training.Service BondBefore appointment, selected candidates must execute a Service Agreement‑cum‑Surety Bond on non‑judicial stamp paper of ₹500.
Bond obligation: Candidate must successfully complete prescribed training period (including extended period, if any) and then serve MPPGCL for a further period of 3 years. If the candidate resigns or leaves the service before completion of bond period, payable bond amount: UR candidates: ₹2,00,000. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates: ₹1,00,000.
Bond transfer: For candidates subsequently selected in another successor company of erstwhile MPSEB on same or higher post, the bond may be transferred on same terms for the remaining bond period and notice period may also be relaxed as per rules.How to Apply OnlineMode: Online only; no other mode of application is accepted.

Steps (as per notification):Read the detailed recruitment rule‑book and instructions carefully on MP Online and MPPGCL websites.Ensure you have a personal, active email ID and mobile number valid for at least one year; these cannot be changed once entered in the application.Fill the online application form on MP Online portal, selecting preferred exam cities within Madhya Pradesh.Upload the required documents in prescribed format: Class 10th mark sheet. MP domicile certificate (for MP candidates). Caste certificate (for MP domicile SC/ST/OBC seeking reservation). Valid EWS income & asset certificate (for MP domicile EWS). Valid income certificate for OBC (NCL). Disability certificate for PwD (MP domicile). ITI/NTC mark sheet/certificate for prescribed trade. Recent passport size photograph, signature. Supporting documents for age relaxation (if claimed).Pay examination fee online via net banking/debit card/credit card/UPI and submit the application form.Other Important ConditionsCandidate must be a citizen of India and medically fit; final appointment is subject to satisfactory medical fitness certificate from District/Divisional Medical Board.
Candidates with more than two living children, where one child is born on or after 26.01.2001 and total exceeds two, are ineligible as per MP Government rules. Candidates married before minimum legal age are ineligible.
All certificates related to caste, income, EWS, disability and domicile must be issued by competent authorities prior to last date of application; certificates issued after last date will not be accepted. Any wrong/false information or forged document at any stage will lead to cancellation of candidature/appointment and legal action. All recruitment‑related notices, corrigenda, exam dates and admit cards will be published only on MPPGCL and MP Online websites; candidates must check regularly.
